Vlaze Heat Shields & Hearths – A Contemporary Solution

Vlaze Heat Shields and Vlaze Hearths offer a great contemporary choice for your home and a fantastic solution to reducing 'distances to combustible materials' when fitting a stove. Made by fusing glass to steel at temperatures in excess of 800 C, the vitreous enamel surface is heatproof, non-porous and stain resistant.

Vlaze Heat Shields

Vlaze Heat shields create a barrier between your stove and a combustible wall.  Manufacturers will provide a measurement for safe 'distances to combustibles' and each stove will have different requirements. For some stoves the 'distances to combustibles' will mean your stove will sit away from the wall and protrude too far into the room. This is where the Vlaze Heat Shield comes in!  Distances are reduced to a minimum of 95mm from the rear of the appliance to the face of panel for stoves up to 7kW in accordance with HETAS guidelines.

Vlaze heat shields have been fully tested with all Charnwood stoves. They can be placed safely at a minimum distance of 75mm from rear of appliance to the face of the panel. This includes Charnwood appliances above 7kW.

Whilst the Vlaze Heat Shields offer a practical solution to the positioning of a wood burning stove, they also look amazing!  Available in a choice of eleven vibrant colours along with a choice of four overlay finishes.  The range also includes designer prints and patterns enabling you can create a stunning contemporary setting for your wood burning stove.

Vlaze Hearths

If you don't want to go down the traditional route of a slate or stone hearth then a Vlaze Hearth might be the option for you!  Available in 5 sizes, with a depth of 12mm, they conform to UK building regulations for non constructional hearths. The vitreous enamel is easy to clean, heat resistant and comes in the colours, overlay finishes or designer prints.  Create a complete floor to wall solution for your wood burning stove.
